We have been overwhelmed with mums for both our pregnancy and postnatal courses in the last few weeks! FitMama is thrilled that so many women are taking their maternity health seriously!

Latest guidelines dictate that babies coming to class with mummy may not be allowed to be used as any part of the exercise class, and should be kept about 2 metres away from the exercise area. Fortunately, our postnatal pilates does not require the mums to be moving about away from their mat, so there is no risk to any babies lying on the playmat. Babies in our classes are the sole responsibility of their mums, and we are pleased to note that our mums take great care when bringing their babies along to class with them.

It is important to ensure, if you are feeling unwell during pregnancy or postnatal time, that you don't take part in class as this will lower your chances of recovery, and use vital energy resources needed for your baby. This includes the common cold, which can put strain on the heart muscle if you exercise when in the throws of this virus.

Our next round of courses in Basingstoke commence in June, and you can find out more information on the website http://www.fitmama.org

Book soon to avoid disappointment!

Best wishes
